High voltage discharge rods are a type of industrial electrical equipment commonly used for insulation testing of high-voltage equipment such as power transformers, power capacitors, and motors to detect whether the insulation of the equipment is qualified.


The main body of the high-voltage discharge rod is a rod-shaped object made of high-voltage insulation material. The high-voltage output end is connected to the handle through metal rods and insulation materials. The handle is equipped with a high-voltage regulating switch and indicator light, and is connected to voltage control instruments, transformers, and other interfaces through cables. The high-voltage output port of the high-voltage discharge rod can usually adjust the output voltage, and is accompanied by a lighting lamp and a grounding plug to ensure safe use.


When using a high-voltage discharge rod, it is necessary to ground the output port to ensure human safety. During testing, place the rod on the equipment to be tested and turn on the high-voltage regulating switches one by one until the equipment undergoes discharge, in order to determine whether its insulation condition is qualified.
